Experience leading major local-government technology transformation
This started inside local government, not in a consultancy deck.
I began my career inside local government at Sefton Council, then moved into frontline local-authority transformation consultancy — working with councils across England, Scotland and Wales to redesign services and realise value from technology. From there I progressed into services and programme leadership, with responsibility for major multi-million-pound local-government technology transformation programmes, including significant implementations for authorities such as Hampshire and Staffordshire. I went on to lead Product Management, Sales and — eventually, as Chief Product Officer — the wider product strategy for Capita's local-government technology business.
